Sew smart (quick guide)
Needles: Universal 70/10–80/12
Thread: All-purpose thread
Seams: Overlock/zigzag or French seams for a tidy inside
Pressing: Medium heat + steam; use a clapper for razor-sharp collars & pleats
Opacity: Generally good; nude underlayers recommended for lighter colours if you’re lining-averse

What is cotton poplin?
A finely woven plain-weave cotton with tiny horizontal ribs for strength, smoothness and a crisp drape. Perfect for shirts, dresses, skirts, occasionwear accents, and even sleepwear when you want that polished look.
