A really versatile cotton jersey with a classic black and white stripe, broken up with larger black block stripes for a little extra interest.

This is the kind of fabric that works hard in your wardrobe. Casual, easy to wear and perfect for creating pieces you can reach for year round.

The medium weight makes it a great choice for T-shirts, dresses, skirts, underwear, layering pieces and smaller scrap-busting projects. I’d love this made up as the Freya Top by Tilly and the Buttons.  Want to try some colour blocking? Mix the black version up a little with the matching Pink Triple Stripe version to create something truly unique!

And one of the best things about jersey? It’s comfortable, forgiving and generally requires far less precise fitting than a woven fabric.

Just remember that stretch doesn’t mean you should size down. Always choose your size according to the pattern measurements. If jersey is stretched too far across the body, the fabric can become distorted and, depending on the colour and knit, may even become slightly translucent.
