How to install (quick guide)
Mark placement and pre-pierce a small hole through the waistband.
Insert the tack from the wrong side; place the button cap on the right side.
Support on a hard surface (or anvil if you are a blacksmith haha) and tap firmly with a hammer until secure.
Pro tips: Interface the waistband for strength; test on a scrap layer to check grip.

Is there a standard size for jeans buttons?
There isn’t a single legal “standard,” but in practice most adult jeans use a head diameter around 16–17 mm (often sold as 16 mm (5/8") or 17 mm (~11/16")). Smaller 14–15 mm buttons are common for kidswear or lighter garments, and 20 mm can appear on outerwear.
What also matters is the tack/post length (how much fabric stack it can bite through). Typical posts are 8–10 mm for denim waistbands.
