Red Tartan 100% wool
A beautiful quality Tartan plaid check fabric which is made from 100% wool.
When you feel this fabric, you can feel the quality. It is a medium weight that would be ideal to make skirts, dresses, trousers, jackets, and waistcoats. It would also be beautiful to make up into luxury handbags and accessories. Even for around the home for cushions, covers, and throws. I have visions of matching it with the stretch velvet we have in the shop to make cushions for a real sense of Christmas this year in the livingroom. Also cut into a beautiful circle skirt to wear on Christmas Day and to keep a feeling of luxury but also practically speaking warm over the winter months. It has a soft and smooth texture with a soft and slightly fuzzy feel. The red is definitely more of a deep Ruby Red than is coming up in the pictures here, so if you are local please do call in and see this gorgeous fabric in person as we have a wonderful local fabric shop.
